Volunteer Opportunities
Food Community Outreach Program
Runnymede United has partnered with Bloor West Food Bank, providing our signature vegetable soup to their operation. Volunteers meet at our Runnymede Campus on a regular basis to prepare and deliver soup throughout the month. We are always looking for more hands in the kitchen; volunteer on a regular basis or sign up for one or to shifts! Visit our FCO page to learn more.
Community Meal
Runnymede United has a longstanding tradition of hosting a community meal, which is held each month on the last Saturday of the month at our Runnymede Campus. There a multiple ways to get involved, including helping in the kitchen, serving, or welcoming guests.
Sunday Morning Audio-Visual Team
Are you excited about our online presence as a church? Do you have good technological skills or are you looking to learn? Our audio-visual team is looking for volunteers to help with the livestreaming of our Sunday morning worship services. This important part of our ministry is crucial for widening our invitation and deepening our online presence. If you are so inclined, join the audio-visual team! We’d be glad to have you!
Sunday Morning Service Team
Every Sunday morning, all the volunteers who greet people as they enter, read scripture during our time of worship, and host coffee hour after the service enliven our time together and create a spirit of welcome. This is an invaluable part of how we live out hospitality in community. We are always looking for more volunteers to serve as greeters, readers, and coffee hour hosts. Try it out one time or sign up to serve regularly!
If you are interested in any of these volunteer opportunities or have an idea for a new one, please contact our Engagement and Growth Minister, Rev. Laura Gallagher-Doucette.
